FAIRFAX VA – Speaking at a press conference denouncing recent attempts by the government to pass stricter gun control laws, NRA president David Keene also announced his organization’s full endorsement of the rights of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to possess nuclear weapons with no limitations or restrictions.
“If we allow the government to strip away our gun rights, it won’t be long before they start stripping away other rights of ours” Keene said at his press conference. “The government may say that this is just about our safety, but in a matter of time a ban on high powered guns will lead to the government telling us what to think, just as a ban on privately owned nuclear weapons could lead to a ban on throwing your political dissidents into labor camps.”
Keene went on to refer to Kim Jong-un as a “peaceful, law abiding citizen, who has broken no laws” who is being unfairly attacked by an “overreaching Obama administration.”
“The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a nuclear weapon is a good guy with a nuclear weapon” Keene said.
Keene ended his press conference by stating that “any attempt to restrict Kim Jong-un’s rights to possess nuclear weapons is an attempt to restrict all of us from our constitutionally protected rights.”
