Coming off a tough stretch that threatens to derail the Obama Administration’s plans for his second agenda, Americans are now holding President Obama accountable for late pizza delivery times.
The timing of this couldn’t have been any worse for the President, who is currently dealing with scandals related to his administration’s handling of Benghazi, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, and suspected wiretapping of reporters. A CNN poll has found that 71% of Americans are holding the President responsible for the failure of pizza delivery places to get hot pizza in their hands within 30 minutes of placing an order.
Congressional Republicans are promising to launch an investigation into just what role the President has played in the slow pizza delivery times.
“Pizza CEOs have been asking the President for weeks for assistance in getting their pizzas out on time” said Congressman Steve Southerland (R-FL). “So why weren’t these requests for help heeded? How could the President ignore Americans in need? We need to get to the bottom of this.”
At present, the White House has only released a statement that suspects that an anti-pizza YouTube video is prompting delivery drivers across the country to have slow arrival times.
