WASHINGTON DC – In an effort to get President Elect Donald Trump up to speed on security issues threatening the United States, the CIA is joining other agencies in putting their Presidential intelligence briefings into episodes of Saturday Night Live.
Following Donald Trump’s tendency to ignore daily intelligence briefings and to otherwise hold the intelligence community in contempt, intelligence officials thought that this would be the best way to get their key reports to the President Elect as he prepares to be sworn in next month.
“We know the President Elect likes to keep a busy schedule that involves watching SNL religiously” said CIA Director John Brennan. “If he doesn’t have time for our daily briefings we’ll be sure to incorporate it into SNL and other late night comedy shows. I’d just like to thank Lorne Michaels for incorporating these updates into their scripts so that Trump can be up to speed on day one.”
Following a sketch in which Alec Baldwin played Trump receiving a briefing and going along with a recommendation to strategically bomb an ISIS chemical site, Donald Trump tweeted “totally biased and unfair #SNL portrayal of me. I listen to no recommendations from any failed CIA people.”
