In an effort to combat fan drowsiness and overall disinterest in the sport, Major League Baseball and Nintendo have engaged in preliminary negotiations to implement three inning games. This new format would allow fans to enjoy the maximum amount of baseball without fear of nodding off throughout a majority of the game. Surveys conducted by MLB researchers have yielded that 83% of fans find the games to be “extremely boring,” while 12% categorize their baseball viewing experience as “a natural sedative.” Additionally, 5% of survey-takers simply stated “baseball sucks.”
